[Retros] A question from Harry Goldsteen

Retro-friends,

As Joost reported a few days ago, retro-contributions in Probleemblad's
last issue were ZERO. Fortunately, there is a good prospect as well.
Harry Goldsteen has opened up the shoebox that contains 95% of all the
material he ever produced and is preparing a selection for release in
PB. In it some incredible "chinese puzzles", my description for retro's
showing long maneuvers in small spaces. Also two superior cyclic Babsons
(created before Hoffman's "first") and 2 longest shortest game records.

The latter is what Harry's question is about. To his knowledge the
longest shortest game was 183 moves from a joint by Ceriani an Fabel. Is
this true and is it still the record outside Harry's shoebox?

Note: The longest shortest game is represented by the diagram position
that has the greatest distance to the PAS (initial game array). The
distance is measured by the shortest game that connects PAS and diagram.

Guus Rol.
