[R129 SL] Help with "Clunk"

Hello Everyone;

I'm hoping someone could help me find a "clunk" in my 97 SL500.  I can hear and feel (on the floor, under the feet if sitting in the passenger seat) the clunk at slow speed mostly when the car goes over a bump.

My independent has looked hard in all the normal suspect suspension places but cannot isolate the problem.  Can anyone offer a suggestion so we don't have to diassemble the car too much?
