[R129 SL] Top Pump Leak

I took the advice of people on this list and added the MB Hydraulic Oil into the pump in the trunk, top worked perfectly.  Unfortunately I noticed oil running out under the passenger wheelwell and now back to no function.  Checked with the mechanic, he tells me it all may need to be replaced if there is a leak in the main unit.  Any idea where the leaks usually are on these things?  Do I even want to know?
