[R129 SL] wont start

1991 500 SL wont start after a short trip 1 or 2 miles   Let it sit for 20 minutes or so and she will run like nothing ever happened. Have already changed the fuel filter did not help. Very low milage car  80,000 runs GREAT would appreciate any help.
