I am a gimp, and I was able to do the repair (with a little help) fairly
easily.

Since you have more than the SL in your garage, you could easily remove your
cylinders, have them rebuilt, and then replace them with minimal outlay of
cash.

I would encourage you to make this repair.

Although I don't know if once leaking, they will continue to leak whether
operated or not. It was my experience that they leak more when we had that
hot spell of 100+ degree days.  Perhaps they won't leak as badly when the
weather is cooler.
