Hi Jan,

I have been caught by this before! A US gallon is about 0.832709 English
gallons, so the gallon cost (relative to Holland) is about $7.12. The old
story goes that an English immigrant went to the New Americas and dented his
1 gallon can. As a result, all the US measures are different. Petrol here
goes up and down every week. At the moment, 95 Octane (we have 91 or 95
unleaded - occasionally can get 98 but rare).is about NZ$1.60 per litre.
This is about 3.6 euro's per English gallon.

I see you ride a 'Canary' 1300 bike. I have a 1340 Harley Davidson. Just
got back from a weekend overnighter - great trip and good company. About 20
bikes went to Ohakune (ski village).

Have a great day in the Northern hemisphere.

Kind Regards, Peter S.
