[R129 SL] rear plastic window with bad scum

Rett -

First of all, get a garage for your SL!! Absolutely shameful for a car like
this to be continuously exposed to the elements. Your car parked outside
seaside would be like sending Paris Hilton to jail.

I used Meguiar's Scratch X with excellent results, give it a try. It is an
extremely mild abrasive that is meant to be applied by hand to remove small
scratches from painted surfaces. I used it to completely renovate my rear
windows, all yellow gone.

FYI I found a lot of gunk on the inside of the rear windows, just doing the
outside may not fix the problem. Also, be sure to keep from getting it on
the top, it is awfully hard to remove from the fabric.

Good luck,

Mark D.
