Why so difficult?
You can easily remove the hardtop with the special tool to unlock all 4 the
hydraulic clamps by hand.

  Check fuses, verify battery strong, follow procedure in the owner's manual
precisely.  If still no luck and you need to get the top off, then you can
force the hydraulic pump to run and the latches to release using a couple of
paper clips as electrical jumpers at the connectors to the soft top
controller.  If you want help with that, you can send me an email or post
