Hey Bob -

Its been a long time since i wrote.. I just wanted to give you an update on
my progress with the soft top on my Dad's SL.
I'm currently in the process of taking out all the hydraulic rams and
having them serviced. This is one of the problems i discovered .. after
discovering there was a hydraulic fluid reservoir in the trunk.. which was
empty.. Once i filled it with MB hydraulic fluid.. and operated the top..
the top started to work fine.. but there were leaks.. The rams.. 6 in all..
some of them had leaks. So i took them out one by one.. and I'm having a
hydraulic service shop replace the o rings and seals on all..
I believe this is the main problem I'm having with the soft top.. Once i
achieve a sealed system.. then i can see if i have any electrical issues..

That's it for now..

Anil.
