[R129 SL] Soft top Reset Help needed

Just spent an arm and a leg replacing both window motors.  Took the car home but now the soft top wont unlock at the top, the back cover goes up and the rear plastic retracts but when the header is supposed to unlock it stops, went back and forth, made sure windows were closed in up position for 5 secs etc but nothing.  Is there a way to reset everything?  Or is there some other issue?  Thanks for the advice
