I have a similar problem with my top, but it stops just as the top is about to latch onto the windshield header, if its cold outside it clicks in fine but otherwise I have to take my finger off the switch wait for it to settle then do it again and it catches. I take it some adjustment is necessary but have no idea. asim 94 sl320
