[R129 SL] Driver's door

Tried as you suggested, and there's no play, but there is still that noise.  Would the hinges need to be replaced?

  It can be a simple matter to check the door hinges.  Open each door to the first stop, lift up on the door while open and there should be zero play felt.  Any play at all is excessive wear.  Wider, heavier doors are more prone to early wear.  It appears CQRT has your problem located.
