Greg - did you have it done locally i.e. new plastic windows
'welded' in, or did you buy a new rear part of the hood from
either M-B or another supplier?

I just had the windows in my convertible top replaced, andit
makes a world of difference in the appearance of the car.
It cost me abotu $400.00 to have them re-done - that's
including re-installing the tp as well.

My SL500 soft top rear window got so discolored and bad
looking I finally carefully removed it and both rear side
windows entirely. Now I am on the hunt for the original, or
an improved material which I can cut to fabricate new
inserts to mount in the window spaces. The top itself is
original and excellent so I do not want, or need a
replacement. I have searched the web but found nothing so
far.

Has anyone been there and done that? Suggestions and leads
are appreciated.
