If you want the extra OOMPH that a 600 will give you over the 500, I have
read that Bergwerks ( http://www.bergwerks.com/projects.jsp
<http://www.bergwerks.com/projects.jsp> ) is working on an aftermarket
supercharger for the 500. I haven't looked into details yet (home
improvement is a higher priority right now), but I hear good things about
Bergwerks.

Thats what my service people tell me too. They say it takes thousands of
dollars a year just to keep a 600 running.
Wonder why??? I have a 95 SL 500 and was thinking about getting a 600, but
changed my mind.

I'VE GOT A SL 500 AND LOVE IT. BUT EVEN MY PARTS SUPPLIER HAS STEERED ME
AWAY FROM THE 600. ESPECIALLY IF YOU PLAN ON ACTUALLY DRIVING THE THING!
