[R129 SL] ELectrical Question

I had a problem similar to that, it turned out that the seat control
unit (located under the drivers seat) had got damp due to  water leaking
through the door/window seal along the "A Pillar", I had to replace mine
then every thing was OK,

My '95 500 SL ' s seats have stopped
any  adjustments UNLESS  a door is
open ...or I push the door sensor button
in.   My lighter (radar dector) quit working
at about the same time ....any ideas ???
