I had a problem similar. It was due to the rear axle being out of
alignment.&nbsp; It turned out that it was my tires humming or resonating.&nbsp;
I found out when I wore out the interior edge of the tires (and the
outer edge still had good treat).<br>

  <div><font face="Arial" size="2"><span class="315100202-13072004">I
have a problem with my trusty 1991 500SL, it is quite weird (to me
anyway) my problem is that I can hear a Drone sound coming from the
rear-end, noticeable at speeds at about 25-30 MPH upwards, I am unsure
of whether the sound is coming from the Left, Right or central part of
the rear-end of the car, but what I have noticed is that if I am going
around a left hand bend or a sharp left turn at the mentioned speed the
sound completely stops until the car straightens up again, I have taken
the car to a mechanic and he thinks that it could be the rear wheel
bearings but was not sure which side or even if it was the wheel
bearings, he said that it could also be the differential, anybody has
any suggestions.</span></font></div>

also have another problem, after it has rained I get a large gush of

model) every time I accelerate quite hard, it seems to be coming from
either&nbsp;the&nbsp;water drain path below the windscreen or through the rubber
around the "A"&nbsp;pillar and settling somewhere&nbsp; until I drive quite hard
and it then gushes out onto the carpets and the "kick panel"</span></font></div>
