Umh.........you all should have gotten the 300SL.  Nothing but normal struts 
there.  I also love the sound of the 300 with the top down.  The 5 speed 
automatic with OD is a true pleasure.  23 mpg is normal.  Sorry, got away from 
myself.  I am just jealous of the 5 litre, double overhead cam, monster you all 
get to drive.
