Those seem to be a little tougher, my covers snap on and off, I did break a snap when trying to take the covers off so be careful, you might want to ask around and see if anyone else has done it. Monday I go to the dealer and replace the snaps I'll ask them

Victor - worked like a charm. Much cheaper than the mechanic. Now, can you tell me how to change the engine air filters? I know they're under the house in the main part of the engine, but don't know how to open up the plastic cowling.

Thanks
Adam

I just did it the other day
Start by removing the rubber molding that goes from left to right of the car and across the cover then undo the two screws that hold the cove on.
Pull the complete cover towards the front of the vehicle to break the seal, notice that there are three small clamps going across the cover (between the cover and back of motor) Take a small flat tip screw driver and pop them forward they'll snap off little bar thats molded into the cover but remain attached to the car. Thats all it took.

Does anyone know how to remove the cabin filter on a 99 SL500? I know where the housing is, the problem is getting the lid all the way UP to remove the filter...

Thanks
