Hi Guys,
Something very strange happened to me the other day, I was driving my
R129 500SL when the drivers seat and the back rest started moving
forward on its own, and before I could realise what was happening and
stop the car I was trapped inside between the steering wheel and the
back rest of the seat, I managed to squeeze myself out of the car (with
help from my passenger) then I realised that the motor and relay under
the seat were still clicking.
If I use the control in the drivers door to adjust the seat all I can
hear is the relays clicking and sometimes the seat moves in the opposite
position to the button I press, so if I push the button for the back
rest to move back the headrest moves up, how strange.
Any Ideas
1991 500SL RHD (UK)

Cliff Richardson
