The SL500AE -

only 500 produced with Special Metalic Paint (Crimson Red); Exquisite
Leather; Chestnut Wood Trim (included in the Steering Wheel and Gear Shift
Knob); Special Wheel and Tire Package (17"); Exclusive Floormats; Heated
Seats; CD Changer; Deleted Badging; and "40th Anniversary" Owners Manual
Portfolio. (For pics [http://www.zianet.com/SLlover/page64.html]

The SL320AE -

only 250 were produced and were similiarly equipped as the SL500 except they
did not get the wheel and tire upgrade. The color was also different Quartz
Blue Metalic, Blue Softtop and Royal Maple wood trim interior.

The MSRP for these vehicles were the same as the others produced in 1997, so
those that were lucky enough to buy one of the 40th anniversary edition did
not pay extra for the additional features.

No options were available.
