The lock rod must have gotten loose from the lock assembly somehow.
You'll have to remove the door panel on the passenger side to assess and
fix the problem.

Hi All,
I have a 1991 500SL R129, yesterday I locked my drivers door with the
key then this morning I tried to open the passenger side with the key,
but the key just turns in the lock wit no resistance left or right turn,
The key still only turns about 90degres before it stops but the lock
does not unlock or lock, any ideas!
