[R129 SL] Interim report

It is now almost two months since I bought my 1995 SL320 to be my daily
driver, replacing a 124 diesel wagon (which is for sale on eBay this week).

I was very pleased and surprised with the fuel mileage/fun quotient this ca=
r
provides.

I just fueled up after getting over 400 miles on one tank of gas.  Fuel
efficiency was a bit over 25mpg, in mostly highway but some city driving.

The diesel wagon would achieve 23mpg city and 28mpg highway.

Although the SL takes premium gasoline, the cost premium is at most $5 per
tankful.

Well worth the price for the extra fun quotient.

Simply amazing!
