I agree - this combo would probably be a good compromise vs. going "+2"
to the 18" wheels.  Sorry if I gave the impression in my posting that my
SP9000's are noisy - quite the contrary.  Most reviews (and my
experiences) suggest that these are among the quieter and longer-lived
high-performance tires.  My only point is that they're noisier than the
old Pirelli all-seasons that came on the car -- which you'd expect.
