Thats because in the US, it was a 560SL.  However, in Euro, they probably 
still had the 500SL, so it must be a euro model.

I recently bought what the title says was a 1986 Mercedes 500 SL.

The Mercedes logo on the trunk indeed says 500 SL.. it is a convertible.. I 
cannot find info on any web site referencing a 1986 Mercedes 500 SL.  Why 
can't I find a listing for 1986 500 SL?

Can anyone help?
