[R129 SL] SL Hardtop Options

 A Co-worker has a 92 600 SL and he tells me that there are three levels
of price on the hardtop. This is for a replacement top, though I imagine
it may have been the same when ordering a new car. He said the dealer's
parts manager told him that they were about $1000 apart for each level.
I tried to find out what difference there might be and was told that it
was mostly a matter of soundproofing and trim materials. Is this
correct?
