[R129 SL] Headlight for 1991 500SL

I have tried everything on my 1992 and it seems that it might be the
headlight assembly itself that is dampening the light, and not the bulbs.
I've spent over $400 on bulbs in the last 6 months and everything seems to
come out the same, even the best and brightest bulbs don't make the light
output any brighter.

Let me know if you find anything that works.

I have the stock bulbs (replaced a couple of years ago).  But compared to
my newer vehicles, the light output is anemic. Are there any after market
replacements that would help to increase the brightness.  I am using 9004
bulbs which claim to be 100 Watts.
