You may want to try local newspapers as well, asking in the newsroom if
there's anyone interested in wearing a guide's hat on a day off ...
junior reporters are notoriously underpaid everywhere, or you may be
lucky and snag a photographer.
In either case both would know the area intimately. I would imagine you
may receive a nodding acquaintance with local refreshment establishments
as well, at no extra charge.
And with all that very photographable photographic equipment, you just
might be the subject of a full-page feature in the Sunday news.
