Yes they did, but they said (among many other things) they were making no
more R&D investment in CONSUMER films (whatever they mean by that...?)

Also, they were going to focus on competing in the digital market -
especially printers (and presumably papers?)

You should be able to find the kodak press release in a number of places -
there was also a rather damming analysis of Kodak in the Wall Street Journal
at the same time
