Dear Alan,

    Thank you for the suggestion re. the gold helmets. I have started to
collect gold inlays and wedding rings for this purpose. The former are
available at my surgery ( " Oh Dear. This'll have to come out. Nurse! " )
and I am momentarily expecting a sea container of the latter from a Miss
Elizabeth Taylor who lives in Hollywood.

    The other alternative that was suggested for these acidic individuals
was a polyester paint coating on the inside of the helmet. This runs
contrary to the philospophy of the group but was allowed as a special
dispensation.
