6x7 is so close to square (in my mind) and 6 x 9 is proportional to the 35mm
frame. In this strange universe of LF I do appreciate whatever shreds of the
familiar I can find. Old habits die hard. (But die they must!) The price
difference between the Horseman backs is small.

These I could do petty cash. I'll take a look.

Good point. I was also hoping though to get a decent quality general purpose
loupe. I don't really have anything now.

I may well have to buy the wide angle with my own money, so I'll certainly
keep an eye out for these if that's the case. (Tho I just consulted the
specs and the Nikon I picked out lists for less new and has better
coverage.)

I guess I've been really surprised by the lack of used selection for LF
gear. Unlike 35mm film gear, people must be hanging on to their LF. I
expected to find a buyers market for LF just like there is for 35mm right
now.

Although now that I've actually looked I've noticed that B&H does have the
90 Super Angulaon used for 399.00, so that will save me some money! Good
enough for me.

Yes, I thought of that too, but, but... roll film is so nice... and
comfortable. I guess I should just bite the bullet.

Thanks Les.
