You got no wind by you?  You must equip yourself for the average day....
Loose is also an issue of focus accuracy.  The looseness comes primarily
from an older camera that has been used a lot.... it gets a bit wider
tolerances.. until finally it is just plain loose.

Yes, wood fields are the primary culprit, but even heavy Linhof monorails
can be used to death.

 wouldn't most of these, if in good condition, be
stable enough under normal conditions and given a few seconds to settle
down after all the adjustments and film loading?
