If you want both a Polaroid print and a real negative, you have to use two
sheets of film because the exposure is different for each. You have to use
the given ASA for a good print and cut the ASA in half to get a good
negative. Here's what Polaroid says:

"When you expose 55P/N you can get either a good negative or a good print
from one sheet of film. You cannot do both. This is because the speed of
the negative and the print is different. Usually, a good negative has an
effective ISO of 25-40; the print-an effective ISO of 80-160."
