Odus,

In addition to f/32.net's workshops in Wales, a little closer to your home
is Craig Varjabedian, Director of The New Mexico Photography Field School
in Santa Fe. He will have the new Cooke Portrait PS945 lens at his
workshops coming up in June. (903 West Alameda, #115, Santa Fe, NM.)

Clive Russ is an experienced, professional photographer located in
Massachusetts who was asked to take the Cooke PS945 lens on a trial run
last year before it was introduced to the market. He owns and uses several
vintage soft focus lenses, so we were pleased to be able to get his
educated feedback. He liked the qualities of the lens so much that he
purchased one for himself and Cooke recently made him a dealer! That's
just one of the winning testimonials I have to share.

The special qualities of this lens are demonstrated very well in recent
sample photos taken by Larry Guyer, director of marketing for Better Light
digital scan backs. If you haven't seen them yet, take a look at the cooke
website http://www.cookeoptics.com. Click on the little red dot about
mid-page at the welcome page to get to the photos. I represent the
lensmaker, so you don't have to listen to me! Take a look. One picture is
worth a thousand words -- actually 3 pictures -- you'll get to see what
different apertures do and how the high resolution is maintained.

Cheers,
Barbara Lowry
