I've bought and sold. my feedback rating is over 580. Most of those were a
great success. I bought from Germany, Australia, England. I've sold to
Israel, Germany, Australia, and at least two countries that I thought to
be a war zone. ALL of those transactions when well. Okay the $200 Nixie
tube clock from Germany did take a week longer than it was supposed to and
had us both sweating, but in arrived safe and sound.

I've been royally burn twice. Once from a known drug user (got that from
her local Dist. Attny too late) who, from her corresponance had the
intellegence of a 9 year old. She got me for $100.
I bought her Viewmaster stereo with leather case. She never sent it. I
failed to look at her feedback, which was minimal and bad. She didn't last
long. The other guy was selling A metz 60CT. He wrote "new flash" he
meant "new flash handle" It arrived with a battery case that had been
through, well some of the places I've gone through went I'm working the
wrong side of the Water and Sewer Department. He was adamant, I tried to
get the insurance from it but they said I'd have to send it back to him,
since he was the one they contracted. I'm naive but I ain't THAT dumb!

Now to turn the tables on feedback ratings. I just bought a near mint
military Speed Graphic out fit, complete. Paid $350. Feedback 0.
Paypal didn't have her with a 'confirmed' address and her email was
"hotmail", a hotbed for people that like to dissapear without a trace.

Despite all of that, I went ahead and a week later I had a very nice
camera and very well packed I might add.
