There is an excess of film about WW2 here in the UK and it certainly
alienates young English people from Germany, even though present day Germans
are on the whole unlike their grandparents' generation  politically. I
wonder if this is part of the management of public opinion to keep us from
full integration into Europe.  There is much nonsense here about the virtue
of keeping the pound and not accepting the euro. Hardly the first time that
photography was used to mould opinion. It doesn't stop people buying German
cars in place of British ones..........  PL
