The problem with coolers rather than cases such as a Pelican, is that it is 
difficult to actually lock coolers with a strong padlock. There is no 
provision for locking them securely. Where as Pelican and similar cases 
have the capability of being locked with little chance of simple minded 
pilfering. Those straps that wrap around luggage (coolers) to hold them 
closed are not a deterrent as they are easily and quickly cut with a simple 
pocket knife.
