Dear All,
Tonight (at least in the UK) will be the best display of shooting stars
unlikely to be rivalled for over a century. The Earth crosses the the
comet's debris trail this evening and if we have clear weather there will
be over 1000 meteors per hour visible. This is a once in a lifetime
opportunity to see a superb light show. The fireworks will come from the
Leonids which rise in the east and will start at around 11pm, finishing at
around 5pm and will be at its peak at 4am.
Look North or South, away from the moon, 90 degrees from the meteor's
eastern origin.
Now is the time to dig out that Aero Ektar and wait for the biggest display
since 1966. The shooting stars will be visible even through the
streetlights and light from the moon.
Check out the weather at http://www.f32.net/Services/weather.html
Good luck tonight!
Cheers,
Clive
