Hi folks!

Moving along with my darkroom project, the place is fully painted. I just
checked
the eveness of the illumination of the 5x7 Elwood with a 300 watt bulb and the
180mm/5.6 Componon with the Weston Analyzer and, because I'll be initially
enlarging 5x7 to only 11x14, it looks very good, with only very slight fall off
toward the extreme corners, I can live with that. I've got 9 of these 300 watt
bulbs, so I won't be getting a cold light head right now anyway.

BTW, I picked up my first lens for the 5x7 moded Seneca, a 135mm/6.3
Wide Field Ektar. It just covers 5x7 with minimum movement. So, we'll
see.............
The 135mm should give about the same 'look' as a 28mm or maybe 35mm on 35mm
film,
where I'm coming from. The 35mm and 5x7 formats are more similar in aspect
ratio than either 4x5 or 8x10.

Cheers,
