I appreciate this topic is not of interest to large format specialists but
to shed more light-  I have just learned that several bulb flash guns with
folding reflectors using focal plane bulbs, capless or AG1, were marketed by
Nikon  designed for the early Nikon F1, F2 & F3 reflexes as well as the
collectors' rangefinder Nikons.  They used 15v batteries to fire the bulb
and only the triggering circuit was closed by the shutter. Do I feel like
making the experiment?  Maybe not.   Philip
