I too use a Technikardan 45S.

Focal lengths:
most frequent: 180
almost as frequently: 110
sometimes: 72 or 450
rarely: 300

I almost didn't buy the 450 because I almost never use the 300 mm.  Even
though the focal length is 1.67X longer than 180 mm, it doesn't seem different
enough.  The 450 is useful to limit the photo to details on objects that you
can't get close to.

Some questions for Jim: Do you use the 720 Nikkor-T often?  How well does the
Technikardan 45S handle it?
