Clive,
Jay's post came through with a paperclip icon on the icon in my inbox,
and while not a true attachment it did come through with an http link.
How did it get through?
Les
Les,
This was not an attachment - it was a signature file which was
automatically appended by Jay to his post - it happened to have a URL
included. If there was any attachment to Jay's post, it was chopped by the
List Server.
On the usual topic, there is still a lot of HTML posted to the list. If I
could chop it automagically then it would not make it through the server,
unfortunately at the moment this is not possible.
So, **PLEASE** do not send HTML to the list! I am reluctant to reduce the
message size limit still further but this may be the only way to stop it if
people are unwilling to set their EMail clients to post plain text only. The
side effect of setting the message size limit smaller is that the list
server will bounce any messages posted containing HTML which creates more
work for me but at least it will stop most of the HTML from reaching the
list.
If anyone needs help in setting their EMail clients to send plain text only
then I would be delighted to help. Please direct your requests to
LFlistadmin@f32.net
Cheers,
Clive
