The 47 will probably not vignette..... 8mm is about 1/3 of an inch..... but
that means you will rise the lens by 1/3 divided by 4 inches, or about 1/10
of the frame..... that is really a small amount....try it, but the results
may disappoint you....

If you try for more rise, the lens may vignette.... the lens' image circle
may be too small to now cover the negative..... an easy way to tell is to
try it out: Mount the lens ( sometimes easier using a cardboard LB for these
experitments) with the rise you expect then look through the corners of the
GG ... if you can not see through the lens to your subject at the F stop you
wish then the lens is vignetting.....
