Hi everybody!

I've been mostly a silent listener on this list since joining last fall,
but the various threads have been a source of great learning for me.
With Spring having finally reached Montreal this Easter weekend, I hope
to get my gear out and start doing some LF in the open.

I wanted to let everybody know about an event that is coming up on April
29, the 1St Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day. While most people on
this list use the finest lenses with their equipment, there may be a few
who are also adept of this ancient photography technique and there may
be some more who may want to explore the beauty and magic of pinhole.

The 1st WPPD would make a great occasion for everyone to discover - or
perhaps re-discover - the soft focus images, the infinite depth-of-field
and the skewed perspectives which occur when you replace your lens with
a piece of brass shim with a tiny pinhole in it. Sunday April 29 will
be a day for all pinhole enthusiasts around the planet to go out with
their camera, to make images and to post their best image on a dedicated
web site.

For more information about this worldwide event, I invite you to explore
the following site:

With best wishes and happy shootings,
