And keep an eye out for used Calumets. They're out there.

I found a plan for a shutter tester on the Internet a couple of years ago,
I built it and it works just fine. Using the tester require a little bit of
judgement for focal plane shutters, but for leaf shutters it's
straightforward. The tester plugs into the microphone input on your
computer sound card and uses a music editing program for a time base. All
the parts are available at Radio Shack (Tandy) for just a few dollars. The
program that I used was a trial version of CoolEdit 96 a shareware program.
The trial version was functional enough to do the shutter testing, so there
was no need to buy the program. The current release is CoolEdit 2000, I
haven't used it but I understand that instead of limiting functionality on
the trial version it limits you to 30 minute sessions.
