[Jacob-list] GM2 gangliosidosis in Ireland

Dear listers - Just a note on the GM2 (Tay-Sachs) mutation.  British Journal of Veterinary Medicine reported the death of a 7 mo old Jacob in No Ireland affected by the mutation.  It was just a matter of time before it was identified there since it was earlier found, identified and reported in England and Scotland.  It may well next be identified in Europe since a number of Jacobs were exported to the continent from England over the past fifty years.
