[Jacob-list] breeding sheep and hayfield

It looks like our hayfield will not be mowed for second cut - very late in the year already, already a couple of frosts and no 4+ day stretch of sunny warmish weather so the hay would dry once it's cut. It is mixed grasses and yes, some weeds. We got first cut off of it for the horses. 

I wonder what folks think about turning the sheep out there to eat the field. We usually turn them out there after it's been mowed and baled. Do I need to worry about the grass being too rich?
