[Jacob-list] multiple rams

This is the first year we will have two rams and two breeding groups
of ewes. Our practice in the past has been keeping the ram with the
ewes all the time except for Sep 1 - Oct 15 more or less, so our
lambs start coming mid-March and not sooner. (Our various rams over
the years have coexisted with us and the ewes and lambs just fine
other than one ram, and we found a new home for him.)

We would like to be able to separate the breeding groups for a set
amount of time, then put the ewes and the two rams back into one
group again.

Has anyone done this? What might work or not work?

I realize that careful calendar watching will be required regarding
any late settling/late lambing ewes who might have gotten bred by
either ram, in which case we could only register them at FF level
with an unknown ram as sire.

I'm wondering what you more experienced folks have to say about this
idea of putting them all back together. Do you know anything that
would say, "this ain't gonna work, period"?

Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts.
