I'm glad to read that one is being worked on - great news!
But........ I'm not a handspinner or knitter. Will there be sections relating directly to sheep - Health Issues, Lambing, Feed/Hay, Breeding, fencing/shelter, etc? Or am I understanding that its going to be about 75% geared towards spinners?
Thank you and I'll check it out!

We are in the process of developing a bulletin board for fiber folks. it is still in a sketeton format and has not got everything located just yet, but you all can feel free to snoop around, post what you would like or whatever. it is not meant to compete or be like Jacob list.. but more of a place to have fiber folks and handspinners meet up. We will likley put in diffrent forums as the site grows, like one for knotters, one for spinners, some for sheep folks etc.... We are moseling it after another site we are involverd with www.BarrelHorseWorld.com we avg 89,000+ hits per day on that site. It is one of the broadest sites for sales of horses and tack.... and that is the route we are going. the website addtess (Again it isnt ready for public release.. but you all can have a sneak preview) is www.FiberAnimalWorld.com

Would anyone be itnerested in using a message board rather than email group for our subjects?
I like the way the subject threads are all in one place and easy to follow. Other information can be added to other pages of the site to include for sale, breeding, farm advertising, standing at stud, etc.
Posting areas can be established by subject, i.e. Health Issues, Lambing, Feed/Hay, For Sale, Breeding, etc. So if someone needs help on a particular subject, they can easily look to see if there is any advice posted. If not, they can post their question there.
While I have no clue on how to build/maintain a message board, I've been a moderator on a horse board for 5 years, and really enjoy it. I would be happy to volunteer to moderate a Jacob Sheep board, if necessary (although I don't think it will be).
Might this peak anyone else's interest? Does anyone know how to build one?
