Here is a photo of Hatch's Eder. Jeff Hatch used this ram on all his ewes for several years and sold hundreds of his offspring at the Cape, and they were spread all over the USA. He then sold him to Edd Bissell and Edd raised many lambs sired by Eder also. You can see his beard in the photo. Since the beard is sheered off each year it doesn't show up until it has had a chance to grow back out again. I will send more photos as I find them. Since all my rams have had these beards and my rams have come from East,  West & Mid-West I assumed it was a breed characteristic.
