[Jacob-list] endorsements

Linda's point is a good one- that we don't want to imply JSBA endorsements where none exist... but it would be nice to have resources on the home site that are easier to find than things buried in the J list archives. Especially when the subject line might not be clear. I'd favor a list service that says explicitly that listing is NOT an endorsement and that each user is responsible for determining whether the provider can meet their individual needs. I'd even be in favor of allowing providers to pay for listings much like members can pay for their listings. I'd rather see us facilitate spread of info than be overly protective. That really isn't any different than listing breeders who have sheep that some of us do or don't like for whatever reason. The info is there- the buyer can choose what works for them and be responsible for their own choices. Or ask for recent references from J list members who have use the service recently.
